About the Boston Bar Foundation

The Boston Bar Foundation has enjoyed a rich history as the official charity of the Boston Bar Association. Over the years, the organization has maintained a commitment to supporting the public service projects & pro bono work of Boston Bar members and engaged Boston's legal community in projects that improve the lives of those in our city. We continue to be a philanthropic leader with the knowledge and staying power to make a lasting impact in communities in and around Boston.

Our Mission

The mission of the Boston Bar Foundation is to promote justice by:

  • Funding and promoting innovation in the delivery of legal services
  • Facilitating access to legal counsel in underserved communities
  • Supporting the public service projects & pro bono work of Boston Bar members

As the charitable arm of the Boston Bar, the Boston Bar Foundation's mission is inspired by the values of professionalism, service, compassion, and responsibility. We believe these are values that all attorneys owe to themselves, their peers, and their community.
