Boston Bar Foundation Annual Campaign

We know that lawyers have the power to change lives. Whether it is to ensure that a veteran gets healthcare, a special-needs child receives an education, a refugee is granted asylum, or a victim of discrimination can gain access to justice, the Boston Bar leverages this power to help thousands in our community as only lawyers can.

Bringing Hope and Help to Those in Need

Access to justice is more than a noble aspiration – it means all of us working together to ensure that justice is available for low-income, underserved, and special-needs populations. Each year, the Boston Bar provides direct grants to legal services organizations, trains hundreds of lawyer volunteers and supports innovative service projects to help those in need.

Investing in the Future of our City

We believe that in order to build a brighter future, we must invest in opportunities for Boston’s youth. From educating students to creating summer jobs, your donation helps us give children and teens the tools they need to succeed.

Working to Strengthen our Profession

The work of the Boston Bar relies on a strong legal community. We believe that in order to advance our mission, we must invest in in leadership development, diversity and inclusion initiatives, training programs, policy research and more to ensure that Boston lawyers have the skills and tools they need to succeed and to make this work possible.

Within the last year, because of our donors, volunteers, partner organizations and law firms:

38,489 received help from a lawyer from the 20 legal services organizations that receive funding from the Boston Bar. That is 105 people a day, every day, for a full year.

1,500 students in grades K-12 learned about the importance of due process from a Boston Bar Law Day in the Schools volunteer.

390 lawyers have been trained to take cases in immigration matters, asylum representation, bankruptcy, family law and more.

52 high school teens went to work in the legal community for the summer, getting a paycheck and an inside look at the profession at law firms, government offices, non-profits and the courts.

Donate to the Annual Campaign today, and help provide critical funding for the Boston Bar Foundation’s work throughout the year.
