2008 ANNUAL
APPEAL
Imagine you suddenly find yourself facing a legal problem
that could severely impact your life. A problem like: domestic violence,
unfair eviction, unsafe housing, job discrimination, unsafe working
conditions, denial of benefits or medical coverage, homelessness,
home foreclosure, consumer fraud…
Now imagine you’re poor, and you can’t afford a lawyer.
For thousands of individuals and families in Massachusetts, this isn’t
a hypothetical situation, but a tragic reality.
As the charitable affiliate of the Boston Bar Association, the Boston
Bar Foundation provides grants to legal services organizations
that provide critical assistance to low-income individuals and families
in the Greater Boston area. It also funds programs that seek to improve
the administration of justice and that facilitate pro bono
and community service opportunities for the legal community.
The Boston Bar Foundation relies on the generosity of the Greater
Boston legal and business communities to further its mission. Your
donation to the Annual Campaign helps support the work of the Boston
Bar Foundation. Click here to view the members of the Circle of Justice.
The BBF is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and all contributions
are tax deductible.
