Casino Night for Summer Jobs


On March 27th, 2014, the Boston Bar Foundation welcomed over 250 guests for the 5th Annual Casino Night. More than $35,000 will be contributed to the M. Ellen Carpenter Fund to the benefit the BBA Summer Jobs Program. At Casino Night, the offices at 16 Beacon Street are transformed into a two-floor casino, complete with casino games, a silent auction and live entertainment.

See Our Impact - Meet the BBF Summer Jobs Students

Julia Hancock, a rising junior at East Boston High, had an exciting summer splitting her days time between the courtroom and the back office at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office. Meet Julia. 

Liraniz, a student at John D. O’Bryant School of Math & Science in Roxbury, spent the summer utilizing her language skills while assisting with the family law unit at the Volunter Lawyer's Project. Meet Liraniz.  

 Mackaila, a student at Charlestown High School, spent the summer utilizing her language skills while working  with the bankruptcy unit of the Volunteer Lawyer's Project Meet Mackaila.

Alexandra Suazo, a senior at West Roxbury Academy, assisted with web improvements while interning with the Massachusetts Department of Labor. Meet Alexandra
