John & Abigail Adams Benefit

Join us for the Boston Bar Foundation’s Signature Event

Once again, and by popular demand, the Boston Bar Foundation will return to the Museum of Fine Arts for its annual John & Abigail Adams Benefit on Saturday January 30th, 2016. Join friends and colleagues this winter for a special evening to support the important work of the Boston Bar Foundation.

An Evening with an Impact

The event is the area's largest fundraiser for legal services, and 100% of the proceeds will be used for direct grants to legal services organizations in our community.  Last year the event raised over $650,000, and helped fund organizations that serve thousands of individuals and families struggling with issues such as homelessness, domestic violence and various forms of injustice.

Honoring a Public Service Leader in our Community

The 2016 Public Service Award will be presented to Roca. Using the empowering slogan "Less Jail, More Future," Roca works to reduce recidivism and improve employment among a population of young men at high risk of reoffending in Boston, Chelsea and Springfield. Roca will be honored during the event, and the Foundation will donate $25,000 in support of Roca's mission. Read the BBF’s Press Release announcing Roca as this year’s honoree to learn more.

A Preview of the Event

Doors for the event will open at 6:30pm and guests will be directed straight to the Shapiro Courtyard for the popular cocktail reception. During the reception, which runs until 8pm, the BBF will present its annual Public Service award. When the cocktail reception concludes at 8:00pm, guests are invited to dinner—anywhere in the museum. Dinner stations and seating will be spread throughout the Upper and Lower Rotunda of the Museum, the Koch Gallery, the Contemporary Art Wing, and the Bravo Restaurant. After you’ve finished eating, check out the many galleries of the museum, as they will all be open to guests throughout dinner—some will even include musical acts!

Late Night at the Museum

The night doesn’t end there. At 9:00pm the doors to the Adams Benefit will reopen for our Late Night at the Museum party. Young lawyers and law students can purchase tickets to join us for dessert and dancing from 9:00pm-12:30am in the Shapiro Family Courtyard, featuring a DJ and an open bar. All attendees of the main event are invited to join us as we wrap up the evening in style! Learn more about Late Night at the Museum.
