Passport to Pairings

About

THANK YOU!

The Boston Bar Foundation's first annual Passport to Pairings event was a success! Over 250 young lawyers, law students and veteran professionals sampled gourmet food & beverage pairings while raising money and awareness for the public service projects of the Boston Bar Association. Thanks to our sponsors and attendees the BBF raised nearly $37,000 for these programs:

M. Ellen Carpenter Financial Literacy Program

Through this program, volunteer lawyers teach Boston teens about their financial rights and responsibilities—giving them the tools they need to succeed.  This year, the program was taught in 18 schools statewide. Learn more here

Law Day in Schools

Every spring, lawyers and judges from all over the city visit classes across the Boston Public School system as part of Law Day to teach over 1,300 students of all ages about “Why Every Vote Matters.” Learn more here

At Lawyer for a day in Boston Housing Court volunteer lawyers and law students offer their assistance to unrepresented tenants and landlords on Eviction Day. Since 1999 over 15,000 people have received assistance and better access to justice through this program. Learn more here
