Boston Bar Foundation Annual Campaign
The Boston Bar Foundation is at the forefront of efforts to promote public understanding of the law and improve access to justice in Massachusetts.

Why Should I Support the BBF?
Founded by the Boston Bar Association over fifty years ago, the BBF has maintained a long-standing commitment to supporting the pro bono and public service projects of the bar,  funding legal services organizations in our community, and engaging lawyers in the kind of projects that improve the lives of those in our community.

Through our partnerships with BBA Sections & Committees, dedicated volunteers and trusted organizations, we have helped spark changes to make our justice system more effective, our students more knowledgeable, and the City of Boston a better place to live and work. 

Your contribution helps us to…

• Study innovative solutions to difficult problems.  By fostering unique collaborations, we bring focus to pressing issues such as wrongful convictions and a civil right to counsel.
• Provide valuable experiences and an inside look at the legal profession to deserving students in the BBA Summer Jobs Program —students who will shape the future of our city.
• Teach teens to make wise choices about credit and stay out of bankruptcy through the M. Ellen Carpenter Financial Literacy Program—helping prevent future financial trouble for hundreds of students each year.
• Fight unprecedented challenges in our justice system by supporting important programs that draw on the strength of BBA Sections and volunteers—like Lawyer for a Day in the Housing Court.
• Bridge the gap in legal services funding for organizations that meet critical needs—assisting victims of domestic violence, providing critical legal services to veterans, and keeping families in their homes.
